Boosting attendance from the registration thank-you page

When attendees register for your event, they are filled with excitement. Utilize this enthusiasm by providing them with a simple option to invite their friends. Once registration is complete and they reach the thank-you page, encourage them to share the event on social media or invite their friends. These invitations will lead to a slight increase in attendance.
Moreover, after individuals register for the event, it is recommended to send them a thank-you email containing the event registration confirmation. This email can also serve as a gentle reminder for them to invite friends, promote the event on social media, or connect with you on social platforms.
Financial incentives for inviting friends

While some individuals may share the event on social media or invite friends out of a desire to show their support, the majority of those who offer assistance do so with minimal personal gain. To boost this number, consider offering better incentives for sharing.
Providing a discounted event ticket or a free giveaway in exchange for inviting a friend can encourage potential attendees to extend invitations. Similarly, the discount may sway those who are undecided to attend. Cash incentives are powerful motivators, so offering a discount can promptly boost attendance. Moreover, a larger turnout means more opportunities to sell additional products.
While cash is a compelling incentive, it is not the sole means to motivate people. Providing other valuable rewards can also be impactful.
Professional cross-promotional relationships

Various professionals play a crucial role in organizing events, including event planners, venue managers, caterers, photographers, videographers, florists, vendors, graphics printers, and more. Typically, professionals in the event industry recommend and collaborate with one another. It is important to build relationships with these professionals and organizations within your niche and location so that they can refer you. For newcomers in the events industry, breaking into these established cross-promotional networks can be challenging. Here are some strategies to enhance your opportunities:
Start your events independently at first, allowing others to witness your growth and become interested in gaining access to your substantial attendee base.
Offer commissions for recommendations.
Before requesting favors from other companies, it's wise to establish a relationship by initially doing favors for them. A frequent favor is referring clients to them. For instance, if you require a caterer for an event, or know someone who does, reach out to several local caterers and converse with their owners or marketing heads. This initiates your relationship with them, which you can then build upon, potentially leading to mutual promotion between your business and each local catering company.
