Make sure your product or service is something that adds value to the customer to get the best feedback and results. It will also make doing the trade show easier, and everything you implement from this series will be a lot simpler when it’s a product or a service that the people need and want.

Most of the time you’re going to be spending your time talking only about what they will gain and how it will help them. But that won’t be the reason why they stop at your booth, only the reason why they buy! Also not just buy, but give you good feedback, which is more important than the actual purchase itself. Good customer service and a good product will insure a good review.

You won't be able to talk too much about your product or service (which bothers some entrepreneurs) but that’s ok because people don’t care… remember there are 300 more booths with product and services also. You’re going to have maybe ten seconds at the most, so make it count. And you do so by having samples of the product, showing testimonies, or even having brochures or even a video playing.

It must be something that they can see or grab on their way to the next booth. When it comes to brochures, think about what's going to make them remember who you are and what your product does, but also keep them from throwing it away (which they do most of the time).
